Let your creativity grow!: August 2011

when my girlfriend told me her son wanted to do a star wars invitation.. i said.. oh gee... we don't carry any licensed rubber stamps.. plus.. we don't have any star wars stamps.. period. well.. her son wanted the "dark" side characters and so i figured it would be a clip art kind of invite that she would have to do herself... and then.. my husband..ken yee-skywalker comes in and says.. i can make one. here's what he came up with!

isn't it fabulous? you open it up and there's the invite! so then.. of course, you have to make thank you cards.. and you don't want to make the same thing.. so ken designed this storm trooper! isn't it awesome! notice the punches he used? any child or adult who loves star wars like my husband would love to get this invite. it fits in a 5.5 X 5.5 square envelopes. anyway.. if you are having a star wars party this is the winner!

ken made up templates and full directions on how to make this..it's actually quite easy.. just a lot of cutting as you can see.. but overall ..it really simple. the templates are 4.00 each in our store.

this first card is for my husband and anyone who loves to fish! this is a nice masculine card! stamps are by a muse and impress.

this one was a fun card to make, i thought of spring time and clothes hanging on the line.. but instead put presents! this is a new grass edger punch by fiskars! stamps are by a muse, impression obsession and memory box.

this next card is a bridal cake with the birds as the topper! the cake is made with strips of white stardream and i used martha stewarts edger to make this fun cake decoration look.

this next card is a fun staircase card. i orginally got this idea when my friend debbie gave me a christmas card of her darling children and she made this card into a holiday greeting. ever since, i have been excited to make something with this look! deb is super creative and love all of her ideas and creations and baked goodies! anyway.. we will show you how to make this card! stamps are by rubber moon and savvy. notice the cute cute cute bow ties on the tops of these presents? these are so fun.. the die is new from memory box and when my friend joy gave me some to display that she made it made me excited to use the die and make something out of them! so glad joy did that for me!

this is a really fun card.. it's made with new stamps by impress. they have some really cute circus stamps out and i thought this would make a great children's birthday party invite!
