My cousin Laurie and I finished decorating our windows the day after Valentine's day and finally we're able to show you some pictures! Laurie wanted to make a birthday window and I said sure. So I made some party hats and she did the rest of the decorating. It's so fun.
This is a side view of the windows.. I made a bouquet of paper flowers and we used our ek success butterfly punch and punched out a bunch to decorate.
We have a lot of fun kids toys and games and books and put them in the window as presents.
This is the birthday party scene. I just folded some cardstock paper and made fun party hats and used the ek success large daisy punch to make the hat topper. See the cute vintage stuffed animals? I love these.. they look warn out and rugged.. the more rugged.. the cuter!!! My son Miles has a nice collection of these handmade stuffed animals from France. They are a big pricey at 65-bucks.. but they are Euro and they are so cute and cuddly and wash really well!
We have two big windows at our outdoor shopping complex. This next picture shows a more springtime window. To the left are gigantic pinwheels that I made out of 12 X 12 papers and 20 X 20 papers.. so fun. My husband couldn't get a clear enough pix with the sun glaring today, so we'll try and post one up soon. But here's a good picture of our bla bla dolls in a springtime basket.
We have eggs and and apothecary jars filled with candy and jelly beans to hold the pinwheels.
By the way, here's a card I made awhile back. It's a shaker card.. and all you have to do is first punch out a scallop square using your blue marvy punch.. then take your purple scallop punch and line it up so it nests into your first punch.. then cut a piece of acetate paper and line it on the edge of your big scallop square punch.
I then took another piece of cardstock and stamped the baby onto it and punched out a bunch of pink hearts with the handheld fiskars heart punch. To adhere the two pieces, i used foam tape to lift the pieces up so that the hearts to jump around.
All stamp by savvy stamps.
For the last card of the evening.. here's a St. Patrick's day card. I punched out three scalloped hearts with the blue marvy punch and scored them in half. I then took stickles lime green glitter glue and made a stem and outlined the hearts. Do you see the polka dots in white? That was used with the uniball white pen. We still have some in stock. Again.. it's the best white pen ever.. if you use this pen.. you won't ever go back to another white pen again!!! It even dries nicely on stardream paper!
Sentiment is by A Muse art stamps.
Having seen the window displays in person...the photos can't do them justice!! They are so fun and creative. I've done an Elzybells "shaker" card like the baby card, just replaced the baby with one of those cute Elzy ducklings and used the hand-held oval punch for eggs - too cute (thanks for the idea). And HELLO - wonderful double-duty for all of the heart punches too...great St. Patty's Day card!
