My husband Ken punched out a blue circle Marvy punch for the bunny face and then used two nesting oval punches for the ears and we used a fine tip black pen for the face.  So cute!

 

This is a picture from the top .. we used a blue scallop square punch by marvy attached a little cotton tail for the black.  So Cute!  Inside.. there's jelly beans.  Stamps and cardstock by A Muse.

This is a fun gift to give to anyone!  And you can get two complete boxes per one 8.5 X 11 sheet of paper, plus it's just enough jelly beans to give someone and put a smile on their face!

This is a great treat pouch to make for students, teachers and co workers!  I just cut an 8.5 X 11 sheet of paper at 3.25" X 11" and score the bottom at 2.5" and score from the top at 5" and used pretty ribbon to hold a chocolate bunny.

 idea from a card she made earlier this month.  It's been awhile since I have been posting and forgot to tell everyone what a great time we all had when Linda and her mommy Vi came to Sacramento to teach classes!  Thank you so much Linda and Vi!  Linda made a spring card with a tea bag and I just made a few adjustments to stick a chocolate bunny inside this one.  I mean.. it's not easter unless you get a chocolate bunny!!! 

Anyway, Linda, Vi and I had a great time in Sacramento and spent one day walking the Gift show in S.F., we bought a lot of goodies for the store.  We hope to have Linda back again soon to teach more classes!  Thanks again!  by the way...

Classic Kimonos-- Cardmaking class this Friday!

Please join us for a first ever event at the Paper Garden.. making 6 classic kimono cards.
The class will be Friday, February 20th 10am-12pm and 6pm-8pm  cost:  $35.00
Here are some of the cards we'll be making:

This little kokeishi doll is just so darn cute!  It comes in a set with the cherry blossoms and the row of blossoms from hero arts.  I must say of all the stamps in our store, this set is thee most popular!  We have it in stock right now too!  We don't sell too many clear sets, but our customers love this set so much, they are willing to buy and try a clear block just for this set of stamps!

This next card was designed by my cousin Kelley who works at the store.  The Kimono is by Judikins (they have the best kimono stamps and we carry every single one of them in the store!)... like me.. kelley loves stardream papers and this entire card is made with stardream and some washi paper.  She embossed the kimono and raised it on foam tape to give that 3-d appeal and punched out some cherry blossom for a finishing touch.  Of course, ribbon is also a must.  Thanks Kelley!

This next card is also a Judikins kimono, i stamped it in black and colored in the flowers.  The head was made with the 1 3/8" circle punch and 5/8" circle punch for the bun.  I used ribbon to give it a little more color!

This next card is also a kimono by Judikins (see, i told you, we have them all!) and using stardream paper, i stasmped three kimonos in different colors and used the judikins cabarnet glitter embossing powder.  I then heat set them and cut them out for a 3-d look.  The cherry blossom flowers is a ek success mini punch... and just used glittler glue for the middle.  This is an a7 card and would be a great party invitation!  We hope to see you this Friday!

Dragonflies

Here are the last of the cards we'll be making

This card was made using one of my favorite leaf sets by Kodomo, the background is a oblong rectangle by Impress and the dragonfly is by Rubbermoon.  I stamped the dragonfly in "damson plum" ink by nick bantock.  It's a true "eggplant color" and it dries very fast.  The ink pads for the greens are by memento.  I used sprout and cottage ivy.
For the glitter.. prisma loose glitter and a glue pen.

This next card is quick and easy.  I just randomly stamped a dragonly by Rubbermoon onto black cardstock with brilliance moonlight white (it really shows up!) and then tied some fun polka ribbon and used the blue marvy scallop punch with the ek success 1.75" circle -- sentiment is by A Muse.

And this last card is using the new cherry blossom tree sprig by hero arts, i stamped it twice and used the new stickles "sequins" and "tiara" -- these are must have colors.. do you have them?  I use them "all" the time.. soooooooooo sparkly!  The dragonly is by stampendous and i cut it out and used diamond stickles around the border.  Sentiment is by A Muse.  We hope you can join us in March!

Furlough Fridays!

With the anticipation of the state of California employees being furloughed the 1st and 3rd Fridays, we will have free make and takes and 10% off during the hours of 11:30-1:30pm.  That means, this Friday, February 6th 11:30am-1:30pm we'll make this fun treat.

This is a fun Pixie stick holder.   You can also put pencils inside.  All I did was cut  cardstock measuring 2.75" X 11" ( you can get 3 per sheet of paper) and then i corner-rounded each piece and scored the paper at 4".  The ribbon holds the paper together.  i then used a heart flourish by Impress and stamped the bottom "xoxo".  The pixie sticks come in red during Valentine's, I found these at Target.

Please watch us live on tv as we decorate Heart shaped lolly's and make a fun spring banner!  I haven't been on tv in 3 years, so this will be either fun or funky!

Please join us from 11:30am-1:30pm and receive 10% off your entire purchase.  Here's a fun bag we'll be making.. of course, we tied it into Valentine's day but you can do any kind of fun theme with these cute bags.

This big scallop square is a die cut from our store.  If you buy your paper at our boutique you can roll this out for free!  This is the new cardstock from Memory Box.  So pretty!  We put a white paper bag in the middle and it's sandwiched between these two scalloped squares.  Laurie made this sample and used the blue scallop marvy rectangle punch to form the hole.  Then we used that same punch for the sentiment by Savvy Stamps.  Memory box' new cardstock are printed on one side and white on the other.
Laurie also stamped the new love birds by A Muse on the front with a heart.
