Spring Banner

We made this fun spring banner as a make and take last friday!!  Everyone who comes into our store loves it... and they are bummed to know they could have made this for free if they came to our make and take!  Here's a fun pix!

 

I used new 8.5 X 11 cardstocks by Memory box and the letter stamps are by A Muse.  I made the ribbon holes with Martha Stewart's ribbon hole punch.   It's the best for this kind of project.  I then just used a bunch of punches to embellish.  The cardstocks measure 4.25 X 5.5 and i cut them into triangles.  So fun!  I also made these for my son's pre-k class and instead of stamping the letters, Miles' teacher Ms Rose will have the children write out "SPRING" since they are learning to write -- today!  Happy Spring!

This first card is like a pix of me relaxing... with sweets, food, sugar and shopping.. what a fun combination!

My other favorite thing are flowers, however.. i don't have a green thumb.. sooooo that's why my store is called the "paper garden", but i really do love flowers!  i just have to make paper ones.

  

My other favorite thing to do is shop... and i love shopping for purses.  So this is me in a Kate Spade store figuring out which one i want!  hahahahaha.  Stamps by A Muse and Impression Obsession.

 

I also love music.  in fact, i'm a big fan of american idol.. it's about the only thing i watch next to the disney channel (because of miles).  This is one of my first toys.. a xylophone.. my first introduction into music!  P.S. my favorite idol contestant is Adam!

  

Yes, I also love flowers and cupcakes.. wouldn't it be so nice to be able to grow cupcakes?  wishful thinking....

This last card is a coffee card.  I used to drink red bull -- everyday!  Then i went to diet red bull... then coffee... well.. right now i quit cold turkey.. but i feel like sometimes i just need the caffiene!  Here's a fun girlfriend card.

We got confirmation!!!  The lovely and talented queen of card designing Julie Ebersole

will once again come to the Paper Garden Boutique!  We are sooooooo excited to have Julie for a return visit.  I mean.... soooooo excited!  Here's a list of her classes.  All classes are non-refundable and please remember to bring your own basic stamping kit (example:  double stick adhesive, pencil and scissors).

Fun Flowers

Here are some fun flowers that we made in our paper flower class.  I used A Muse art stamps new cardstocks and put together these!  We had a great time on Saturday night creating a bundle!

Make and Take Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

and make this fun spring m & m treat bag.

 

The treat bag is made with little resealable cellophane bags.  I used the pink scallop marvy punch and A Muse art stamps new pretty cardstocks.  Don't you just love them!  Stamps and ribbon also by A Muse.  These are a very quick gift and inexpensive to give to co-workers and friends at school.

Spring cards Saturday and Monday

Please join us for our spring card making class!  It feels like spring in Sacramento right now.  Today our highs were in the 70's and the same with Friday!  hooray!  Here's a look at some of the cards we'll be making.

We will also have a make and take on Saturday and we'll create a fun easter basket.  I haven't finished the sample yet!  Stay tuned...

 

this first card is made with stamps by A Muse.  I just used fun sparkly papers and stamps to make this card and layered it in springy colors.

  

For this next card i used liquid applique in green and heat set it.. and look what happened.. it looks like a real tree!!!  so cool!!!!  Stamps by A Muse punch is by Martha Stewart.

  

This card is one of my favorites.  i used a background paper by Memory Box and punched out three squares and just used some fun spring stamps.  Stamps are by A Muse.

 

This last card is so funny!  i used A Muse stamps and love this sentiment.  So hilarious!  To get the round scallop opening.  i took the blue scallop oval marvy punch and punched it once through the cardstock.  i then took a piece of white cardstock --using the same blue scallop oval marvy punch i punched out an oval and then took the purple scallop oval punched and centered it into the middle.

For this card.. I used some beautiful washi paper from Japan and cut it into a strip.  I then stamped cherry blossoms in red and orange and embossed the good luck kitty!

Stamps by Impress and Kodomo.

  

This next card is my husband's favorite.  These are the newest stamps by Kodomo, we just got them in this morning and look... already..i'm using them!  This is a butterfly set... i punched out some pretty daisys with the marvy punch using acetate paper and put some gemstones in the middle.  Ok.. so now.. for the cool new tool in our store!!!  "SMOOCH"--that's the name by clearsnap.  It looks like nail polish and it looks like liquid pearls.  It comes in several colors and I used them on this card to color.  It dries really fast too!

  

This bamboo is also new by Kodomo.  I stamped the bamboo onto dark cement cardstock and then stamped it again on top of white.  The other two stamps in the set are a dragonfly and small bamboo and i stamped it in the little squares and punched it out.

  

This next card is a fan by Kodomo.  And again..i used the new "SMOOCH" to color in the fans and water and butterflys!  i can't wait for everyone to try this new fun tool!

More Party Favors!

Please join us this Saturday, March 7th and 14th for our party favors and pretty little boxes class.  Here are the rest of the boxes we'll be making.  also, don't forget you'll also bring home the templates so you can create more!

 

This is a nice sized box for a table favor or gift.  It takes one sheet of 8.5 X 11 and that's it!

  

One of my favorite boxes to make is this easy one that I got from A Muse art stamps.  It's a trangular box and you can get three of these out of 1 sheet of cardstock!  imagine the possibilities!

Here are the rest of our cards that we'll be making on Friday for our Hawaiian class

  

This first card i made with judikins 3-surf board stamp and cut the surf boards out.  i then tore three pieces of metallic paper and glittered the top part with cinnamon stickles.  The pail stamp is by A Muse and so is the sentiment.

  

This next card is made with stamps by Memory box.  i stamped the hibiscus in red and dark peony and sentiment by American art stamps.  I love hibiscus!!!

  

This next card is one of my favorites.  It's just a hibiscus stamp by judikins and i stamped it in two different purple ink pads.  So soft!
