Here are the cards we recently made in our June Asian cardmaking class.
This first card is made with washi paper background.. i then took a bamboo stamp by judikins and stamped it all over the cream paper and vellum and hand tore the vellum. I then took another judikins kimono stamps and embossed it in gold and cut it out. The double happiness symbol is by kodomo inc.
This next card is made using a zigen stamp design by Kodomo. I stamped it on cream paper and again on gold stardream and cut out the sand areas to give the card some dimension.
This card uses sukashi handmade papers from Japan. I stamped a Japanese poem by Judikin on the front and also punched out two flowers. The hot pink color makes the black pop!
This cherry blossom tree by Hero arts is so functional. I punched out a fun square and stamped the edge of the blossom and randomly matched it up with the blossoms i already stamped on the bottom layer of white cardstock.
I love this baby.. it's sooo cute! i saw a similary card on splitcoast stampers. The baby is made using oval and circular punches. The round asian ball stamp is by Hero. It makes a fun background as well.
This last card is my favorite. It would make a wonderful invitation! I stamped a Kimono background by Judikins for the top part of the card and embossed it in black diamond by judikins. i then used this cool tapestry ribbon we have from france to make a border for the cranes. i embossed the cranes in pastel embossing powder. The card will fit into a #10 envelope.
