Wednesday will mark the last day of preschool 3 for my son miles who will soon turn 4! I am the room mother for his class and bring whatever make and take projects we do at the store into his class for their art projects... but i gear them towards the kiddies with fun and youthful stamp images.
Anyway, i was inspired to put on a picnic using the new a muse papers inspired by Linda from A Muse-- check out her blogsite for more ideas... www.amusenews.typepad.com
Miles' teacher eagerly accepted.
I got some fun scented bubbles at the dollar store and wrapped them with the new gingham papers.
I then took water bottles and wrapped them and hooked on hawaiian punch mix.
The picnic also included a placemat (not shown) -- i just corner rounded the 8.5 X 11 cardstock to make a nice setting.
On to Miles' 4th birthday party with his classmates. We had a fun train ride in Old Sacramento... with Miles' classmates and cousin... all 39 of us!
then we drove to The Old Spaghetti factory for lunch... and we had a magician who made balloon hats for all of the kiddies.
We had fruit basket cake from Freeport bakery..yum!
and my girlfriend Luanne Hansen made these beautiful cookies that no one wanted to eat because they were so beautiful! a work of art!
so now with school almost out.. i made these binders for the pre kindergarten teachers using the a muse cardstocks. i love how they turned out. I also made matching clipboards.
I got the binders at office depot for 1.99 and the clipboards.. 5 in a pack for 5.00 at sam's club.
i wanted to keep them for myself -- just to hoard! hahahaha.
By the way.. our shopping center.. the town and country village mall will be having an art festival this weekend! Come by for a fun make and take and also see all of our stamps that are only a buck and some 50-cents! these are gently used stamps that we made our samples with. these stamps are no longer carried by our boutique or they have been discontinued so i am putting them on sale.. there are hundreds!!
Hi Steph, Just checking your blog. Wow, lots of neat stuff. We are on vacation, in Houston, TX today. Leave tomorrow for Austin. We are working our way back west. Have been in Enterprise, AL for my grandson's graduation. Check my Betty's Ramblings blog for what we've been up too. I am behind in posting pictures. Have taken tons. Be home 6/13! Will have been gone 29 days by the time we do get back to Sac.
