We had a great time during our A Museapalooza celebration. This is our third year participating and we had our wonderful guest! The lovely and talented Julie Ebersole!
Julie taught a whopping 7 classes next door to our boutique. The old toy store. So we were able to have more people sign up!
Everyone loved their cards and "julie" - she's my cup of joe -- the energizer bunny-- she's like watching the comedy channel over and over again. I think I laughed off my make up each day. Thank you so much Julie for coming to our boutique for the second time! We hope to see you next year!
After the classes on Saturday, we had a special event at our store where everyone did 3 make and takes and dinner!
It's also a chance to see all of the wonderful new holiday stamps by A Muse.
Take a look at all of our new samples and stamps! wow!!! It's beginning to look a lot of christmas!
Laurie, Kelley, Chelsea and i have been working hard to make the store beautiful!
My husband too! He made this mobile so we can hang oversized origami cranes, he also made the fishing line card display to show off all of the new card samples.
and we displayed a "summertime" look as well on the other side of the store with these beautiful butterfly die cuts send to me from my good friend Linda, the owner of A Muse!
Thanks again to everyone who took julie's classes and to julie for coming to the capital city! We had a great time!
Oh yes, one more thing.. the undefeated Miko Sawamura and Tina Risse (my friend in the peach sweater talking to my cousin laurie) won free classes for 1 year!!! Hooray.. any class.. any class at all.. even with our guest designers.. they deserve it! Congrats Miko and Tina. WE LOVE YOU!
Here's me and Miko... the a muse wannabees with Julie.
and here's miko and I... Miko and I have become such close friends. She's taken a ton of classes over the past year, and it's been great having her at my side!
Here's a short bio about my little friend Miko....
She loves A Muse (of course!), Tim Holtz, Memory Box, Kodomo and Hero arts. Miko has been stamping for 10 years but she says she's mostly a "collector" (haven't we all heard that one!). I met Miko at a fundraiser about 10 years ago when i was a tv reporter. If there's a volunteer function or event, you can bet that Miko will be giving her time to some charity event. She's that nice! I was emceeing an asian event and Miko would not let anyone out bid her on an autographed basketball signed by one of the King's basketball stars. When Miko wants something.. she gets it!!!! Well.. she won the basketball.. and Miko tells me she won't give up winning Paper Garden trophy--either.. of course.. not without a good card fight! HaHaHaHa! I then ran into Miko a few years later at a stamping party our mutual friend Erin was throwing and we both had a fondness for "rubber stamps", paper and glitter!!! The rest is history. Ever since I opened up my little boutique... like all of you, Miko has become a loyal customer! Thanks again Miko.. when Miles goes to harvard.. i will continue to thank you!
