Our Valentine class is fast approaching.. please join us for our first class for 2010 on

Wednesday, January 6th  ~  10-am-12pm

Here's a few more cards that i created.. so much fun! 

This first card is made with a new martha stewart border punch.  i also used a small heart stamp for a border and a paisley heart stamp and cut it out.  Stamp by A Muse and Savvy.

This next stamp is a 4-cube by b-line designs.. it has 4 different wreath shapes and the best part is playing with the latest flower soft colors. 

This last card is a branch twig by hero arts.  I used a new mini heart border by Memory Box for the flowers in red, green and pink and then punched out small hearts with a martha stewart hand punch.  lately , i have been outlining my cardstocks with stickles to make my cards stand out.. it's a nice touch. i love it!   it takes awhile to dry, but it's well worth it.  Please call the store at 916-487-2737 if you are interested in the class. Valentine's 2010

Please join us for our first class for 2010!  hooray.  a fun valentine class. The class will be held:

Wed. January 6th 10am-12pm and

Friday, January 8th 6pm-8pm cost:  $35

 Here's what we'll be making-- i have 2 cards done.

this first card is made with our new "shaker" card ovals and circles.  Aren't these cool?  there's adhesive on the back so you just have to fill them up with little confetti.  I used the martha stewart "hand-held" heart punch to make the little hearts and the stamp is a martini heart and rose drink from impression-obsession.  The sentiment is from A Muse.  i also love the punch that's used for the sentiment.  We have this in stock now, it's a mcgill punch that punches out two shapes, this fancy rectangle and an oval.  Great for simple sentiments.

this next card is already one of my favorites.  it reminds me of a fun restaurant i used to go to when i was a kid called "farrells".  i loved this place because it had lots and lots of candy.  old fashioned kind like "rock candy" and candy sticks in every flavor.  This is how i remember farrels and the candy in apothecary jars.  Yummy!!!  i guarantee, this card will be everyone's favorite!!!  by the way, i stamped this image onto a new cardstock we carry that's 130lb weight.  yes.. it's very thick.  it's a champagne color and it's so thick that the copic pens won't seep through.  no lie!  it's lovely paper!

the template for the calendar 2010 came from my good friend Linda from A Muse art stamps.  You can download it for free at her blogsite at www.amusenews.typepad.com

I used the pink scallop square punch and edged it in orange.  I then took an 8.5 X 11 sheet of cardstock and score it every 2.5 inches to make a 4 sided box.  then to separate the months, i used winter, spring, summer and fall images.  So fun.  it stands up nicely on your desk or table.  Thanks Linda!  Please join us for a fun make and take.  You will love making these for your friends for the new year.  Also.. we will have a big sale the day after christmas so please join us for a fun shopping sale!  we'll have discon't cardstocks, envelopes and stamps all on sale-- 50% off.  woohooo!!!

make and take.. Saturday, December 12th

she did this idea last year and i just loved it.  i made this into a somewhat "starbucks" gift card holder.

the card holder is shaped like a wallet and when you open it.. it looks like this..

i didn't have a starbucks coffee gift card, but i did have my next favorite place.. cheesecake factory!!!  Anyway.. the way you close this gift card is by tucking in the belt band into the scallop circle.  the circle is raised with foam tape and it holds in place.. pretty neat huh.. i thought of that myself.. hahahahahahaha!!!  Please join us for another fun idea!
