this reminds me of the toberlone candy that i used to buy.  inside are 5 hershey kisses.  So fun!  the stamp is a new clear set by Hero Aarts.  Notice that there's an xoxo in faded pink.  The set is called bugs and kisses and we have plenty of these.  Please join us for another sweet make and take!

Also.. we will have a make and take on Sunday, Feb. 7th for superbowl Sunday, so please drop by the store!  i'll post the make and take real soon!  

More cupcake cards

Here are the last two cupcake cards we will be making for Sat. Feb 6th 6pm-8pm and Thursday, Feb. 11th 10am-12pm

This cupcake card is sprinkled white flowers on black cardstock and heat set it  in white embossing powder.

and for my favorite card... i used a confetti background stamp that we have and most people forget to buy this one because i think they don't see the cool look you can get with it.  i totally forgot this one was on our shelf but when you see what you can do..it will sell very well.  we have a two-crown punch at the store and i was finally able to use it for the cupcake!  so fun!  Hope you can join us, please call the store at 916 487 2737 if you can join us!  our thursday class is open, but satruday's class is almost sold out. 
  

Paper flower Hydrangeas

This is what we've been busy doing at the Paper Garden.  Making paper hydrangea's.  Aren't these so pretty!  and you don't need water!  Depending on the size styrofoam ball.. you need the yellow, blue and pink flower marvy punches *(we have them all in the store) and little pearl pin heads and just start sticking them all over the place.  I just love these and will make some kissing balls out of them too with pretty ribbons. 

 We are making these for the DREAM WEDDING SHOW at CAL EXPO on Feb. 28th.  Hope you can visit our booth and see all of our beautiful invitations and favor ideas.  here is the color pallette that i picked .. i like the soft colors with the drk brown.  Anyway.. these flowers will make a beautiful center piece for partys and work space!  for the stem i used a wooden dowel.. and for the green stem..it's floral tape.  so pretty!

Icing on the Cupcake card class

This first card is made with cupcakes growing on a treelimb.. if it were only true!  I made this one whimsical.  Stamp by b-line design, memory box and karen lockhart.

this next card i made wih fun polka dot cut outs and just used one cupcake stamp.  stamps by A Muse and Memory box.

this next card is i took a dragonfly stamp and cut off the wings to make the cupcake fly.  Stamp by memory box, a muse and karen lockhart.

this last card is one of my favorites.  I love the soft colors.  the stamp is by impression obsession.  i embossed it in silver metallic ink and then colored it with our copic markers.  i then blinged the entire card with prima glitter and stickles.  i'll post the other two cards later this week!  please call the store at 916 487 2737 if you're interested in the class! 
  

Card - O -Gram class

For the first time this year.. we're having an invitation layout party.  I was inspired to make this one invite.. my youngest co-worker Chelsea who is also my cousin.. recently turned the big "21" .  She had a great time celebrating at Mason's/The Park night club.  So i made this invite in honor of her new "adult" life.  Chelsea has been working at our boutique for about 2 years now and she's a wonderful addition to our team.  She makes most of the samples, helps me with computer stuff, packages, cuts out classes and make and takes and whenever something goes wrong.. i jokingly blame her cause she's such a good sport.  i love her!  Chelsea came to our store as someone who said they are not crafty and a little shy.. but slowly she has come out of her little cocoon and blossomed into a wonderful crafter and knows many of our customer's names!  Congrats Chelsea!  Anyway.. here's the first invite i made. 

i used just two stamps and no glitter!!!  i stamped on stardream white gold shimmer paper with "brilliance" poppy and graphite black.  This drys slowsly, but so nicely on stardream cardstocks.  if you want a brilliant detailed look.. definitely go for the brilliance inks.. they dry wonderful and boy.. that wait is worth is.. look at how beautiful the stamps image onto the cardstock. i printed the invite on flat cream cardstock and then used the same inks.  We are offering this class on Friday February 26th, from 10am-12pm and 6pm-8pm and Friday, March 12th 10am-12pm and 6pm-8pm cost:  $45

Make and Take -- Friday, January 29th

this is a fun doubled heart shaped box that dangles and slowly spins with the candy inside. 

 
 the little ornamental treat box can be hung on the side of your hubby's computer or your co workers and surprise them with yummy chocolates.  you can also hang this on the side of your cubicle or surprise your loved one by hanging it on the rear view mirror of their car on valentine's day!  so fun!  we'll give you the pattern and directions for this fun treat box.  Hope to see you soon!    

Asian Card class -- Friday and Saturday

Here are the cards and one project we will make!

This acfrd was made with stamps by Kodomo and Judikins.  I used two geisha images and then cut them out into squares.  i lightly colored the kimono and lips in red to pop out the gold and black.

this next card is a crane card-- stamps by A muse and Kodomo.  I stamped the crane in different colors to make a wintery look.

this next card is a fish stamp by jukins.  i stamped the fish three times and used the longevity symbol.  I like the eggplant colors.

This next card is a fun collage.  I didn't mean for all of these stamps to be on this card.. it just kind of fell into place as i used different colors to make the card come alive.  stamps by impress, hero and kodomo.

This next project is for the year of the tiger.  Ken, my husband made this tiger face and the stripes on the box.  Isn't this so cute!  he's so clever!  we even put a tail on the tiger in the back.  on feb. 14th it will be the year of the tiger.. so this box is very fitting!

this last card is to celebrate the lunar calendar.  stamps are by a muse and kodomo!  hope you can join us for our class!
  
  

Make and Take -- Monday, January 18th, 2010

Please join us this monday, Janurary 18th from 1130am-1:30pm, Martin Luther King day.

On this day you will get to do "TWO" make and takes for free!  Please join us and make these wonderful valentine treats!

These hearts are big enough to put about 6 hershey kisses inside.  They are so beautiful in these pillow boxes and they are so easy to make!  We have even developed a fun template for you and you can get it free on monday.  They are also perfect for wedding and party favors.  I think i will make these for miles' classroom!

The next fun treat is this lollipop holder.  These are the charms heart shaped cherry suckers.  i found them at Raley's supermarket.  I punched out the hole for the lolly with the blue scalloped heart punch and then used the yellow scalloped heart punch for the tag.  i then stamped the outside of the box with a heart flourish stamp.  Hope to see you on Monday!  lots of inspiring ideas!

I forgot to post the last card for the waterfall card class this friday.  This one is a pirate card.  Keep opening it.. and wallah.

WaterFall Cards -- Friday, January 15th

One of the most talked about cards in our boutique is the waterfall card.  Now you can create some of your own!  I came up with 4 different designs and boy did it take me forever to figure out the math on these.  I am not the stereotypical asian who can do math.. i am the outgoing, talkative student who gets their name written on the board, and needs a calculator for 1 plus 1 kind of person.  Anyway.. hours later.. here are the creations.  You will go home with these 4 cards plus the templates and measurements to make your own at home.

The class is on Friday, January 15th 10am-12pm and 6pm-8pm cost:  $45.00

The first card is an owl card.. this card will fit into an a6 envelope.  Keep pulling and you will see a sentiment.

The next card is a heart card made with a 4 bar envelope (3.5 X 5 card)

When you keep pulling down the heart, the hearts get smaller but the trees get fuller.

This next card is a butterfly card.  I mae the images smaller so you can put an invitation or sentiment on the left hand side. When you open it up you can write a short note.
