Rockin' Robin card class

Please join us for another fun bird inspired cardmaking class!  This Friday, June 25th 6pm-8pm and Monday, June 27th 10am-12pm -- cost:  $35.00

Here are the cards we'll be making:

This first card is made with three birdhouses stamped and cut out and then i used "twine" for the rooftops and bottoms of the homes.  I also stamped out three birds and colored them.  The tree branch is from hero arts, the rest of the stamps and cardstock are from a muse.

This next card is made with acetate paper.. i used the new platinum staz on ink on the acetate so it will dry nicely.  i then stamped this bird in versamark and heat set it with "bronze" embossing powder by judikins.  all stamps by memory box.

This is another card made with acetate paper.  I used our new bird line martha stewart punch and used it for a border.  i also used a strip of wonder tape for the bottom of the card and poured glitter on it.. boy does it stick well!!  such a cool effect.. i think i will start using this look a lot!!  kind of hooked on this!  the bird stamp is by memory box.

This next card i used an old fashioned rose stamp by impress.. and stamped the image in black.. then i took this quatro bird cube by b line designs and stamped it in yellow and then in black and cut out the birds to make a shadow effect.  sentiment by a muse.

this next card reminds me of a plate from crate and barrel (last winter).. i stamped the tree in versamark and used white embossing powder.  i then stamped the bird by a muse in poppy red brilliance ink.  the sentiment is by memory box.  as you can see.. i used the wonder tape idea again and put prisma glitter on it.

This last card is my favorite.  i used new stamp images by impression obsession and stamped then in different green tones, then i stamped this bird by impress in black and colored it in with chalks.  the flower is by savvy and i cut out just the middle of the flowers so they pop out.  so pretty!  sentiment is by b line designs.  please call the store if you're interested in our class!  916 487 2737

Please join us for this fun vintage american flag wrapped over a hershey chocolate bar!!  i totally copied this look from Heather Meeson who is a designer with a muse.  I love her card she made with this.  i love all her cards she creates!

More Summer Cards

Here's the last card we'll be doing in our summer cards class.  I love this card.. it reminds me of sipping on a tropical drink in hawaii!

This card is made with layers of blue and kraft cardstock.l i ripped it and then glittered the top.  i made the glass out of vellum paper and used a dauber to put on color box chalk ink. 

i had some straws at the store so i could attach it onto the cup and the strawberrys are single stamps by impression obsession.  the sentiment and sun is by a muse.

Summertime fun!

Please join us for a summer time fun cardmaking class this Saturday, June 19th from 6pm-8pm and Monday, June 21st from 10am-12pm.. here's 5 of the 6 cards we'll be making.

This first card i used liquid applique to make the puffy clouds.  i then took a fun border of flowers stamp by impress and stamped it across the cardstock.  i also used the martha stewart grass edger to make some lawn and a butterfly to top it off.

This is a fun ice cream bar card.  I stamped the bars randomly and raised them and then put prisma glitter all over.  These stamps are by impression obsession.  i then used a small dot to bring out some orange color.  sentiment is by a muse.

This next stamp reminds me of a fun umbrella drink near the beach or poolside in hawaii!  i used the colors of lemonade to make this card.

This is another fun summer time card screaming.. ice cream!  i used the pennant banner punch by marvy and wrote in sundae and then used the small marvy butterfly punch in between the letters.  the sundae stamps is by impression obsession.  i used brown liquid applique to make the hot fudge!  if you don't heat set this.. it looks like ganache after about an hour of drying time!

This last card is one of my favorites.  i used b-line designs shell cube and randomly stamped the shells and then i heat set them in gold for the top piece.  it's very striking!  please call the store at 916 487 2737 if you are interested in the class.  cost is:  $35.00

More asian cards

Here are more asian cards that we'll be making on Friday, June 11th 10am-12pm and 6pm-8pm

This butterfly stamps is from Judikins.  The patterns on the wings are old kimono patterns.  I colored them in and then cut them out and put them on cardstock.  the chop is by B line designs.  I love this butterfly!!!

This next card is a fun pink and rose colored birthday card.  the background stamps are by Kodomo and the thank you stamp is by Hanko.

This next card is a background poem written in kanji and it's by judikins.  the dogwood stamp is new by impression obsession.

Finally this last card is a set of lanterns by hero.  i randomly stamped them and found this new floral stamp by impress.  the image on the lantern is almost the same as this flower!  so cool!  please call the store if you want to take the class.. and don't forget on friday and saturday we have make and takes!

Second Saturday Make and Take

Make and Take -- Friday, June 11th 11:30am-1:30pm

It's almost the end of the school year!  so we have a fun make and take this Friday between 11:30am-1:30pm.  Please join us!  Here's what we'll be making:

These are smarty candies and we've pkg'd them into these cute little lunchbox or teacher gifts.. so fun and so inexpensive.. it's a great way to let the entire school staff or your favorite teachers know how much you appreciate them!  the tag says:  Because of you, i'm a real smartie!  we typed out the sentiment and printed them out .. and then punch them out to make cute tags.  we also punched them out to sell in the store.. please stop by and make one of these cute sweet ideas!

Asian card class -- Friday, June 11th

This first card is a collage of different asian stamps..i embossed the bamboo and carried the theme of square blocks.  stamp by savvy, impress and kodomo.

This next card reminds me of playing cards.. i guess with the red, black and white theme.  it looks so crisp!  stamps are by Judikins.

Sprinkles on the cupcake class -- Friday, June 4th

Plese join us for another fun cupcake card making class.  This blend of cupcake cards are one of my favorites!

This first card reminds me of my friend terry ryan who's motto is always positive and joyful.. she is what mary englebreit is all about-- "life is just a bowl of cherries" the colors are all about mary and terry!  i made a ryhyme! 

this is a new cupcake by impression obsession.  when you turn the circle, you will see a fun mesage!

so fun!

This next card reminds me of the cupcake boutique called "sprinkles" in beverly hills.  the colors and the clean lines.  these remind me of the cupcakes in the windows at the store.  altho.. can't say i have ever been there..only what i have seen on "the girls next door."  hahahaha.

This card is vintage inspired.  it's another new cupcake design by impression obsession.  there are about 6 new cupcake stamps and of course,.i had to buy them all with the sentiments!  this is a nice baby card.. with the ducky on top.

This card is one of my favorites.. using the martha steart cupcake border punch.. i then colored it in the penant banner flags.  this is a punch by marvy.  it comes in both sizes.. and i use it a lot on cards.  it's a must have.. cause you can use it with any kind of celebration!  again.. new cupcake designs by impression obsesion.  i tend to use the zig glue pen because it has a fine tip and a i can control the glue... i put it all over and sprinkle prisma glitter.. tap it all off and then put stickles on top.  bling it up!!!  that's what i like!  sparkly and beautiful!

this is a card that uses my favorite.. washi tape!!!  i put the polka dot washi tape and then used the color scheme to match the dots.  again.. more new cupcakes by impression obsession.. the border is by hero arts.

This last card uses new flower stamps by a muse.  i then took a small cupcake stamp by lockhart designs and stamped them as flower buds and the floral cupcake is also by impression obsession.
