This first card i used dave's new kimono print background stamps.  i used each one and punched them out.  for the center.. a beautiful "tsuru" or crane.  the ribbon on the side of this card is pure silk from shindo ribbon in japan.

this next card i stamped a blossom flower randomly and then heatset the kimono and chop.  the print on the kimono is stamped in brilliance platinum for a subtle look.

this next card is a cute little girl using the cherry blossom stamps.  i stamped the chop in a light fall color.

this card i randomly stamped dragonflys and put them on a newspaper background stamp.  the chop is heat set with clear embossing powder and then i punched it out with a 1" circle.

for this card i used out die-cut machine and rolled out a circle card.  i randonmly stamped everything on the circle and then put it through my crimper.  this is a fun card to get.. even to make a lantern invitation would be so cool!   please call the store if you're interested in this class!  we hope you can join us!  916.487.2737 

  

Christmas in July cardmaking class--Friday, July 30th

Here's your chance to get inspired to make all 100-plus christmas cards for this 2010 season!

our first christmas card class is Friday, July 30th from 10am-12pm and 6pm-8pm cost:  $35

we'll have so much fun make these six cards!

This first card i designed for miko's mommy.  i thought.. gee'z.. i should use this for our cardmaking class...it's so elegant!  the pointsettia stamp is by impress.  i used maroon colorbox chalk ink for the red and warm red for the cream cardstock.  i then added pearls to make it come alive!  sentiment is from a muse.  and of course.. what makes this card is the beautiful velvet ribbon!!  we have all colors in this narrow size!  lovely!

This next card is used different snowflakes from a muse and embossed them in white on the red cardstock.  the white color really pops out the red tones!

I thought this was a fun card..it's a 5 X 7 so it's perfect to put a christmas or winter pix inside.  the stamps are by a muse and the punch is by martha stewart.

this next card is made with stamps by a muse and memory box.  i used our die cutting machine and rolled out this tree..it makes a great holiday tag and also card.  i cut it in half so the tree doesn't take away from all of the stamping and glittered it to make tree lights.

This next card is made with stamps by memory box.  i took the poinsettia and embossed it in red and then i took "red flock" and put it all over the bird. it's soooo cool!  you must feel to believe!

This is one of my favorites and it's using new images by memory box.  i used the "pink flocking" this time for the bird.  so cool!!!  i think the zig fine point glue pen is the best for this.. and when you put on the flocking.. just press down with your fingers and the flock stays on really well!!  it's like a cotton candy look!  please call the store at 916 487 2737 if you are interested in this class!

Make and Take-- Friday, July 30th and Saturday, July 31st

We will make this fun candy holder. I just love this and i'll have many different occasions where i will fill fun candy for this packet.   We have the plastic packets and stamps available at the store and oh yes.. the so cool divine twine too!

I filled this packet with fruity skittles for the summertime.  the punches are the pink and yellow marvy flowers.. and i used orange, yellow and green divine twine.

i also used a uniball white pigment pen to make the polka dots.  please join us for another yummy make and take!

Happy birthday cards! Saturday, July 17th and Monday July 19th

here are some of the fun cards we'll be making!

This card is made with all punches!  i used the flowers and stacked them to make a cool bouquet!

This card is one of my favorites.  I used the penant banner from hero arts and stamped it across and cut out the flags.  I then took the slice of cake by impress and colored it in vintage colors!  the paper flowers are also new from hero!

This next card is made with oval shapes.  I punched out different tones of pinks and stamped happy birthday in the bottom oval covered with flower punches.

this card uses martha stewart's happy birthday punch and these fun tag punches.  i think what makes this card is the fun twine!!!!  we have it in pink, grey and red now.. so fun!!  stamps are by impression obsession, impress and a muse.

This last card is all about mickey!  i used a punch to make the film strip and used fun disney colors .. now.i want to go to disneyland!!!  the happiest place on earth!  well.. we can dream and you can make these cards and be happy too!  please call the store at

Asian card class-- Friday, July 16th, 2010

This first card is made with dave's new bamboo kimono stamp.  i used his inspirational chops and punched them out with the yellow square punch.

This next card i used dragonflys and embossed them and then used stickles for their wings.  the three circles are background stamps and i punched them out.

for this card.. i used all brilliance inks.  i love the color combination.  brilliance inks dry so nicely on stardream paper.. you just have to be patient.

This one if my favorite card.  i used the cherry blossom randomly and embossed it in pastel embossing powder by judikins.  i then embossed the chop and crane in gold.  the cardstock is stardream--- of course.. if there any other compatible cardstock??????

This card is the four seasons.  and then chops represent, winter, fall, spring and summer.

this next card is round punches using pieces of the stamps and then punching them out. so fun!  like an asian brady bunch card!  hahahaha.

and finally.. the kimono stamp is so fun.  i embossed it twice in gold and cut them out.. i then used the chop in rocket red brilliance ink.  please call the store at 916 487 2737 if you are interested in the cards and dave's classes!

Just in time for summer this fun little holder makes a great little treat.  the holder is made with a punch scallop circle punch by marvy.  we took the 1 X 1.5" oval punch by ek success to make the hole and stamped thank you!

this reminds me of a kate spade beach bag!  we lined three chocolate kisses inside!  yummy!  please join us this tuesday for the make and take!
