Please join us for a fun cardmaking class that is Paris inspired! Right after i graduated from college at San Jose State university, I got a job as a flight attendant with Northwest Airlines. I was based out of Detroit, Michigan and had the opportunity to have two layovers in Paris, France. It was definitely one of my most favorite layovers and of course seeing the Eiffel Tower in person was so much more breathtaking in person than on cardstock. But as they say.. we will always have paris!
This first card is actually a mini journal as well. when you open it, it has some scored pages. i used stamps from impress and b line designs to make this beautiful floral eiffel tower.
This next card i wanted to make somewhat of a collage. i used this 4-cube crown stamp by b-line designs-- this is a must have! you get 4 small realistic crowns. each one is about 1" X 1.5"--- i love to make gift tags with this stamp too! the rest of the stamps are from a clear paris set by impression obsession. the flourish is by memory box.
This next card is super simple and there's not glitter.. nothing to it! just beautiful stamps. i used a damask background by memory box and stamped it in versafine black and then layered the next piece using an eiffel tower by b line designs... and added a fleur de lis.
This card reminds me of marilyn monroe in paris and europe. i used a vintage dress stamp by b line designs and stamped postage cancellation stamps for the background. this stamp is also by b line designs.
This next card would also make a great invite. the chandelier is by hero arts and sentiment by a muse. it's a tri-fold card and when you open it up ...
we have flourishes and fleur de lis stamps inside along with all of the other paris-inspired icons! so fun!
This last card is my favorite. it's so simple yet elegant. this stamp is a crown.. also by b line designs. i stamped it in versamark and then poured bronZe embossing powder by judikins. when i emboss my images i normally use "stardream" cardstock. it takes the heat setting so nicely. this cardstock is 110-pound cover and the shimmer look is a-1. you get a very vibrant finish. i added diamond stickles and platinum stickles to finish it off. if you ever visit our boutique.. take a look at our stardream and shimmer cardstock line. we have more than 75 colors in stock and you will want them all! i hoard them all! i specifically look for shimmer cardstocks when i decide to open an account with a paper company. for cardstock.. i only use 80-pound and heavier.. you can always tell the difference. 65 pound cover is not as thick and it's flimsy... you really can tell the difference. remember the line...you get what you pay.. it's sooooo true!
