Here are the cards and fun project you will be making!
this first card uses a fun martha stewart punch "hop". I used it for the bottom of the card (see what other fun project i used the hop punch with later) and then embossed the eggs in "bronze" powder and heat set it.
This next card is a set of 6 different easter stamps and i punched out the images and put them on circles. all of the images were colored in the softest colors from copic.
this next card is made mostly with robin's egg blue colors. i used blue liquid applique to color in the cupcake.
this next card is an easter egg hunt. i used an egg punch and the new rabbit punch by martha to get this look.
for this last card, i used different soft colors of blues and greens and added a spring sentiment.
and this last project was created by my husband ken. i love this basket. it's made with all punches!
isn't this so fun. it's made with our exclusive cherry blossom cardstock and yes.. i love how cute the bunny turned out! such a cute basket!

this first card uses stamps by a muse and rubbersoul. i love how she used the cloud cardstock and the gingham.
this next card uses stamps and papers by memory box. the bird stands out with that beautiful soft pink-ink!
when you open the flap, there's a nice sentiment!
this next card, i just love how wanda stamped the yellow onto the yellow cherry blossom cardstock! see.. i told you she mixes color so well!! stamps are by memory box.
this next card uses stamps by a muse and just love how the black and yellow comes together.
and the last card makes me want a popsicle! these stamps are by impression obsession. using all of the gingham cardstocks makes this card shine!

We are seeing a lot of our rubber stamp companys make their version of the birch tree. this is from savvy. and i saw a similar card on their website using this birch tree, and i totally knocked it off and made it into a thank you card! by embossing the trees in white.. it really makes the pink cardstock pop.
this next card is new stamps from impression obsession. i stamped two different roses in blush rose and a berry color and then stamped it again on green and strawberry cardstock and cut it out. i think the colors turned out nice with the splash of green.
this card yells spring! i love hot air balloons and one time, i did a tv news story on hot air ballooning in the napa valley. i remember how lush and green the grass was and how perfect the weather was since you need almost near perfect weather to do this hobby. our crew couldn't go on the hot air balloon because they weren't going to make it back in time for our news slow, but boy was a dreaming that one day, i would love to be high up in the sky .. kind of like the wizard of oz.. as dorothy leaves back for kansas. anyway.. this is a new stamp by impression obsession and the stamp is oversized so you can easily cut out the hot air balloons..plus using the cloud cardstock background by a muse makes this card really stand out!
for this next card.. i actually stamped the rose on acetate cardstock and cut it out. it is a really cool effect. the background is a distressed floral.. so cool! stamps are by impression obsession and impress.
this may be one of my favorite cards because of the symplicity. also.. i like the silhouette look. i stamped the flower in versamark and heat set the flower in black detail. see how crisp it looks! stamps are by impression obsession and memory box.
finally.. everyone's favorite indulgence. these cards are all in bunches.. as you can see.. so why not a thank you indulging in a bunch of donuts! these donuts look real! i used chocolate and red liquid applique to make these colors stamp out and i used all kinds of stickles for the sprinkles!!! when you see it in person, the chocolate glaze looks like the real mccoy! please call the store if you would like to take this class! 916 487 2737 cost is: $35.00
My 5 year old son Miles will soon be the "star of the week" for his classroom. Each child gets his/her turn to showcase their lives. Anyway, most of the time, it's put on big poster boards.. that's fine, but for me, i didn' know where i would put it after since i would keep it forever. so i thought of this idea.....
these are from 7 gypsies and they are replicas of old printer trays. i just love these.. and i could not believe how easy it was to make these. i thought it would be a great mother's day gift or a birthday gift.
i just took miles' old birthday announcement and some pix i had on the computer and then taped it all on. i think the key is to have a coordinating cardstock to line the back of the tray and then just go for it! but really..it took about an hour to put together. i already had my pictures ready to go! try it.. it's a lot of fun!

We're gearing up for spring, jelly beans and easter grass.. already! this easter basket is so easy to make and you can get two out of one sheet of 8.5 X 11 cardstock. i used our very own cherry blossom cardstock and edged it with our new ek success edger. here's a close up.
notice our cherry blossom cardstocks are pastel, so you can stamp and print right onto them. so beautiful! i used some fun spring brads by making memories. you can see the close up of the edger. it looks so pretty in person. please join us this saturday and monday and you will get all directions and pieces to make this fun project.

This first card is made with some new spring stamps from impression obsession and our fabulous cherry blossom cardstock! sentiment is by a muse. i colored all of the images and then blinged it up with stickles and prisma glitter.
This is a really fun stamp image.. new from impression obsession. i love the little bunny in the egg car. i used glossy accents on the bubbles to make them pop out. if you use the glossy accents, it makes an epoxy look ..it takes about an hour to dry, but look at the results, shiny and clear. i remember when i first opened up our boutique, laurie would use glossy accents on every thing. i mean.. she would put it on every card sample she made. she must have forgotten we had it, cause i haven't seen it on any of her creations lately. hahahaha. notice the blue asian coin paper? that's ours too!
This next card is definitely my favorite .. and i pondered over this card for awhile. i knew i wanted to make a crisp white card with this image as i saw it in the catalog. to me, it screamed a beautiful white bunny card...tone on tone. this card uses a luxe white cardstock.. beautiful cardstock with some bevelled edges to it. i layered stardream quartz cardstock on top and then punched out small flower and daisys by ek success and marvy. the lattice punch on the bottom is by ek success. it' a beautiful edger. bunny is new by impression obsession.
This next card uses fun classic easter colors. stamps are by impression obsession, the flower background is by rubbermoon.
this next card uses our cherry blossom cardstock in lavendar. i edged the grass from our martha punch. stamps are by memory box and impression obsession. see the fun twine? these are must have's and be sure to collect all of the colors!! you can do so much with twine.
this last card will probably be our most popular. i say this because i showed a few customers this card today and they bought all of the items to make this one. i think it's the fact that the bunny can almost seem to be edible! it's covered in brown liquid applique by marvy. if you leave the applique on for about 1-2 hours and just let it sit.. it looks like a chocolate ganache! very cool. the bunny is by impression obsession and the flourish is by judikins. i embossed everything in bronze. this embossing powder is a must have..it's a cross between gold and silver!!

This first card is one of my favorites. i love how the purples go together. i just stamped this cherry blossom several times and embossed it in detail black, then i stamped it again on eggplant stardream cardstock and embossed it. i cut out two of the flowers and made a trail out of the cardstock. cherry blossom stamp is by memory box, sentiment by a muse. the dragonfly punch is by marvy. this card would be so pretty using other colors.. like fuschia pink on pink, robin's egg blue on blue and
red on red. i could see lots of fun stuff!!
this next card is made with my favorite bamboo stamp by hero arts... i embossed it in forest twinkle by judikins. when you emboss with the "twinkle" powders make sure you don't heat set too long.. or else the shimmery part of the twinkle melts. when you heat set for just the right amount of time, it looks soooooo good! the cherry blossom is by memory box.
this next card is made with a fun collage. i stamped the blossom and heat set it in detail gold. i then took a background kimono print and stamped it in red. the kimono was heat set on a mustard stardream cardstock in red and i cut it out. so beautiful!
this next card is another favorite of mine. recently, martha stewart came out with two different cherry blossom punches.. we have them both!! this is one of them. i punched out a border and then i stamped this butterfly with kanji print on it and stamped it three times in different embossing powders. yes.. i love love love to emboss. it really makes a different on your cards. when i first opened up my boutique, i didn't have any embossing stuff.. in fact.. i said.. no way, i am not heat setting anything. i am eatting crow......
but to tell you the truth.. back when i first embossed.. the powders i had weren't high quality like these.. or they were really old... and i had no idea what i was doing.. a combo of all...sigh... i don't know. but i think if you heat set.. the best thing is to have a good high quality heat gun -- we carry the milwaukee heat gun. i love it. it gets up to 480-degrees... a great ink pad.. plain.. just use the versamark pad.. it's thee only one i recommend.. the powders will come out to the true color.. i also dump my entire embossing powder into a little plastic container and then label it. i use a big circle punch and scoop out the powder and let it fall back into the container. once you heat set..it's pretty much dry! try it.. you will love it. also.. the best way to get a good embossing image is to emboss on stardream cardstock. it's heavy and it slick.. the powder falls off so much easier. those are a few tips.. take our class and see for yourself! please call us at the store at 916 487 2737 if you are interested in this class!
