i can't believe it's already august!!!  we have another fun make and take this tuesday, August 2nd 11;30am-1:30pm.. this is the fun project!

 
it's a cut purse-sized match book with paper inside.
when you open up the matchbook.. take a look.. we already have these 13 month calendars in our store!  these are great gifts!  the calendars are tear-off with easy peel-off adhesive on the back.  i love how these fit into your purse!  they are perfect for anyone!  the matchbooks come in packs of 10 for 4.50 and the calendars at 10 for 5.00 so these are less than a buck for a gift!  decorate them with pretty papers and you have a custom match book.  i used our exclusive cherry blossom cardstocks.  love them all!  please come by the store this tuessday to make one for yourself or your friend!  see you soon.

Make and Take--Friday, July 30 plus big sidewalk sale!!

You won't want to miss this sale.. i spent the day cleaning out my cabinets and have more than 500 stamps that will be slashed at $2 and $3 each!!!  these stamps were used in our make and takes and card making classes.  we are getting rid of them because the stamps are either discontinued or the companies are no longer in business!  please come early for the best selection!  Sidewalk sale is this friday 10am-6pm, saturday 9am-6pm and sunday 11am-5pm

this first card uses new stamps by impression obsession.  i just love the stocking!  this is new glitter ribbon from may arts.  love it!

 
this next card also uses new stamps by impression obsession.  i love the snowflakes!  i embossed them in white and stamped the poinsettia in red.

 
this next card is one of my favorites.  i took a mish mash of fun holiday colors and created this fun outdoor scene!  i like to use non traditional holiday colors as well!

 
this next card is fun and reminds me of a candyland kind of scenery!  the fun pinks and green make this card almost good enough to eat!

this next card is one of my favorites too!  these stamps are all by memory box.  by the way.. a big thank you to dave brethauer who taught classes all day on thursday, friday and saturday!  dave's classes were sold out on saturday and sunday.. so i begged him to add thursday classes and he did!  thank you dave.. and guess what..those classes were full too!  dave is a trooper!  his family came out to help him and everyone was sooooooo happy after the classes, they couldn't wait to buy dave's new holiday line of stamps and dies!  it was a wonderful visit!  i will post pix soon!

make and take--satutday, July 9,2011

please join us for our second saturday make and take!!!  july 9th, 2011

this will be a very very fun make and take and you can easily repicate this for gifts to friends and family.

 
this box stands 3.25 X 3.25 .. i used the martha stewart cherry blossom edger on our exclusive cherry blossom cardstock.

i then used the blue marvy flower punch and the 1 3/8" circle for the flower.  take a look inside.

 
lots of fun thank you mini cards.  wouldn't this be a fun gift to give for the holidays?  you can make different gift tags and put it inside the little purse box!

 
we'll give you the measurements and pieces to make this fun make and take!  hope to see you on saturday!

Happy birthday Miles!

 
My baby.. my one and only child.. my precious son turned 6!  and for his birthday, we celebrated with his friends and cousins at the imax theatre to see cars 2 in 3d!

 
here's the invite my husband ken designed.  it's a movie camera!  then.. i did the fun printing and designs.

at the theatre.. my mom catered lunch.. and i set up a wonderful candy bar for the kiddies!  everyone took home a big big big bag of candy!

 
i made the banner that says "pit stop" -- "miles"

 
we made lots of tissue balls in primary racing colors.

 
 
but it was definitely miles' candy bar that took center stage. 

 
we had "lightning mcyee" candy bars...we made these from trader joe's ... and redesigned them to make these our own private label!

 
miles' also had these beautiful tasty lolly's!  these are from hammonds candies.. and let me tell you.. they are so delicious!  hammonds make these original vintage lollys and they are well worth the price and shipping!

 
for the rest of the table.. we used old cars toys and a burlap table cloth to decorate... we also changed all of the candy names to "cars" inspired labels.

 
all in all.. it was a great time and miles had sooooo much fun!

this next card is a fun and easy one as well.  there's a lot of layers, but these are easy cuts and you can use your scraps!  stamps are by memory box and savvy stamps.

 
this next card i made into all bamboo.. the background is by hero arts and the kimono is by judikins.
