Laurie helped me make these cards and projects.. and they turned out so cute!
this idea came about when my girlfriend diana asked me to create something for her children's class.. she wanted to give them a treat in honor of chinese new year. so we came up with putting red m & m's in our plastic tubes (these are a must to get!) topped off with an embossed dragon coin and good luck symbol. inside the red envelope is a quarter. by the way.. that envelope is a marvy punch.. it punches into an envelope! so clever!!!
this next card is a money envelope. i played around with my martha stewart board and on the bottom of the board.. there's measurements to make your own envelopes.. so that's what i did.. sooooo easy! it's like origami. i made this envelope and embossed gingko leaves.
when you open it up.. there's money! the symbol says celebrate and i folded a five dollar bill into a heart.
this next card is by laurie... this reminds me of a pix that would be in an elegant chinese restaurant. so pretty.. the colors of gold and red and very lucky and bring good fortune for this time of the year.
i also love the colors of these.by laurie. it's very popular in chinese culture to have pictures with "a 24 karat" gold look. this is beautiful!
this is my favorite card by laurie.. especially since it has a dragon fly on it! it's very elegant. i think this will be everyone's favorite in the class! it's very simple too.. i love the colors.
and finally this beautiful asian collage card. again.. red and gold.. very important! happy new year! please call the store at 916 487 2737 if you would like to take this class!
